fresco from Mileševa, a Serbian Orthodox monastery located near Prijepolje, in southwest Serbia.
St George took a pilgrimage there in 2011 - it was amazing!

Power of Social Media for Fundraising?
Greetings all - I’ve really tried to harness the power of social media outlets to streamline communication with my Church, while at the same time broadening our exposure to the world-wide community. Now that we’ve established a nice community on FB, Twitter and (my personal favorite) Tumblr, I’d like to involve our new friends to join us as stewards!
We’re trying a new bi-annual, fundraiser - a “Virtual Coffee Hour.” The concept behind this is to combine the social aspect of coffee hour with our modern-love of fancy coffees so that we can generate funds for our parish.
Check it out: http://stgeorgelorain.org/post/45272148039/virtual-coffee-hour-fundraiser
If you feel so inclined, donate the equivalent of a fancy cup of coffee to our small, growing, Orthodox community in South Lorain, Ohio - small amounts in large numbers make a big difference!!!
During this fundraiser (throughout March) I’ll be posting a fact about coffee and an Orthodox Quote every day… so enjoy, comment, and donate. :-)
